Activities in teaching Past Tenses

I teach English in the tenth grade of senior high school in Indonesia. Two of the materials in the second semester are about recount and narrative texts. To make the students able to compose an essay on these texts, I teach them past tenses as a prerequisite material.

Last meeting, I had taught them the theories of four past tenses in English (simple past, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous). Now is the turn to have some practices.

To make the learning managable, I have constructed a students’ worksheet that is expected to make the students fun in learning grammar.

Feel free to download the material here.

Thank you.
